10/11 paralells: murder+genocide
Remember when genocide and killing were things that the Doctor frowned upon, and would only do with a heavy heart? Remember when the Doctor tried to talk the villains into doing the right thing? Remember when the doctor had morals?
£500 says that Moffat never watched The Doctor’s Daughter. Oh but wait, he did request that they re-write the ending for Jenny to come back to life, in order for him to do fuck all with the character. But in retrospect, that’s probably a good thing.
Nobody hates on a show more than the fans I swear. What’s wrong with changing the doctor when he regenerates? I love how different 11 was to 10, and how different 10 was from 9, and I guarantee 12 will be totally different from 11 and that’s how it’s ALWAYS been. It’s like people just want every single doctor to be like 10 but those same people would be the ones that would complain that the show is getting old and tired and just rehashing old ideas. Seriously there’s always gonna be people that aren’t happy with anything but moaning.
Yep, by pointing out a major character flaw, I’m a moaning hater.
The Doctor, from what I understand, was never one to commit genocide until Eleven. If he did have to kill he would feel horrible about it. But from what little I’ve seen of Eleven he kills more easily than the other Doctors, yet people still only point out the happy parts of him.
Now, don’t quote me on any of this, since I’m not that into this fandom yet, but isn’t that Doctor supposed to be a healer. That was the whole point of the names of things. He is the Doctor, a name associated with mending. He chose a sonic screwdriver, something that is associated with building and fixing. This is why, even though I am not to Eleven yet (tho people have had me watch episodes with him in it), I can’t help but think that Matt’s Doctor, while having some good qualities, is really ooc for the Doctor, even if he changes with every regeneration.
Complaining about the character becoming more of a killer is not being a moaning hater. It is pointing out extreme character flaws and how the show is going back on its word.
